Dirac Live ART unlocks an entirely new level of performance for Denon and Marantz systems. As two of the most trusted and widely adopted brands in home theater and audio, Denon and Marantz are among the first to feature this breakthrough technology, bringing studio-grade precision and innovation to a broader audience.” — Fredric Tapper, Vice President and Head of Business Development, Dirac

What Is Dirac Live ART? Advanced Room and Bass Correction for Denon & Marantz AVRs

Dirac Live ART, introduced in 2023, is a professional-grade upgrade to the Dirac Live platform, designed for listeners who demand precise, room-optimized audio. Building on Dirac Live Room Correction, which balances magnitude and phase for transparent sound, and Dirac Live Bass Control, which intelligently tunes subwoofers, ART takes system performance to the next level.

Unlike standard correction tools, Dirac Live ART treats every speaker as part of a unified system, actively controlling bass resonances in the crucial 20–150 Hz range. The result is tighter, more accurate low-end, reduced room reverberation, and consistent bass clarity across all listening positions.

By enabling every speaker in your system to work together to control and smooth low-frequency response, Dirac Live ART delivers bass that is tighter, more articulate, and consistent across the entire listening area. Whether in a dedicated home theater or an open living space, it transforms the system into a precisely tuned environment where every note and detail comes through with greater clarity and impact.” — Fredric Tapper, Vice President and Head of Business Development, Dirac

Dirac ART Corrected

Dirac Live ART is powered by Dirac’s patented MIMO technology, enabling results that traditionally required extensive physical acoustic treatments. By precisely aligning phase and controlling the sound field in real time, ART delivers smooth, consistent bass—even in asymmetrical or challenging room layouts

The Bottom Line

Dirac Live ART continues Dirac’s trusted partnership with Denon and Marantz, building on years of room correction and bass optimization to deliver precise, consistent audio performance. While it requires a separate $300 license—like Dirac Live Room Correction and Bass Control—the payoff is significant: smoother, tighter bass, improved clarity, and a home theater or music setup that approaches studio-grade precision. For listeners serious about extracting every ounce of performance from their speakers and room, the investment can be well worth it; casual users may find the added cost harder to justify.
