BluOS Delivers Control System Updates for Multi-Room Music Platform: ISE 2024 Barcelona

The BluOS music streaming app enhances integration with Control4 and RTI, while adding support for NAD and Cyrus streamers.

BluOS 4 App Update

Lenbrook and BluOS have announced a suite of updates to its integration with Control4 and RTI control systems. With the latest certified drivers, BluOS now supports seamless control for popular streaming services such as Pandora and Presto Music.

Lenbrook recently spun off BluOS, MQA, and SCL6 into a brand new entity called Lenbrook Media Group which will focus on the development of the music streaming OS, and somewhat controversial streaming codec and mobile technology.

The CI market had become extremely important and lucrative for Lenbrook with NAD, PSB, Bluesound, and the North American distribution rights for DALI under its much larger umbrella.

Custom integrators focus heavily on multi-room audio systems and all of the aforementioned brands offer that flexibility.

Additionally, Control4 integrators can deliver enhanced playback options with the introduction of shuffle and repeat functionalities for the Now Playing queue.

These new drivers were designed with input from engineers and custom installation professionals to deliver the most feature rich experience. It takes advantage of the next generation features available in BluOS 4.0 to equip Control4 and RTI control systems with an improved multi-room solution for flexible and scalable support of up to 64 audio zones.

“We understand the role custom integration plays in delivering exceptional audio experiences for smart home environments,” explains BluOS Product Manager, Andrew Haines. “Our enhanced integration with Control4 and RTI aims to empower professionals with advanced features, seamless integration options, and support for additional music services, ensuring their clients enjoy the best in audio technology.”

In addition to new music streaming services and integrated features, BluOS has also added support for the NAD M66 Streaming DAC Preamplifier and the Classic-Stream and Stream-XR streamers from Cyrus Audio. Mini-driver support has also been added for BUGS music on Control4 systems.

The new Control4 and RTI drivers will be demonstrated at Stand 2H700 at the Integrated Systems Europe Show in Barcelona, Spain, from January 30 to February 2, 2024.
