I keep hearing about the xxHM84 lacking inputs.
Can anybody tell me if the inputs that it does have is adequate for an HD Satellite connection and a dvd player?
Why do I need more inputs?
(your input is appreciated)

The following web site has a nicely layed out spec sheet on the 46HM84. You could query the site for other models - or just querry the model on Google.com. Since I intend to purchase one of these Toshibas - I am also concerned with things such as input/outputs. The Toshiba has plenty of them - certainly the ones needed to hook up a satellite connection (HDMI - the best) and a DVD (Component video input).

Perry, have you also considered the Toshiba 50" which is about to come out?

Monitor vs. integrated tuner model? I have dish network with an older receiver...I will have to buy a new sat receiver for HD anyhow. we do not have cable service.

Is a DVDO iScan HD High Resolution Video Scaling Engine or similar component necessary with the 62HM84, if you have Dish Network feed only.
