hondo | hello all , newbie here ..... well i was able to get everything loaded and fixed and watching tv .. first i would like to thank the people here with the info i got from here .( atr trouble) the guy that posted retry every 2 minute was right on it! third try  BUT , beening a newbie there is alot i dont know like 1. what the different between a bin & 3m ? 2. i can add locals ,but they dont last long 3. will the hu card be no longer when p4 take over 4. can you still load h cards? 5. i have 2 dirtv units , heard i should use the oldest one (about 10 years old) is that true and why. 6. how can i tell what generation they are . 7. i see alot of private scripts sites ,do they last or just a ripoff? 8.if not a ripoff ,who are the good one ? Im sure there is much more i need to know but , im a newbie and shooting from the hip .... I hope someone out there is bored enough to answer my questions ... thanks ..hondo |

| its good to see that some one is getting it all you have to do is read,there are a lot of questions here but if you go to dssrookie.com you can find the answers but i will try 3m is code put on bin file to open up all channels oldest reciever cannot be upgraded through the sat stream h cards are dead except music channels but some people claim to have them working hu will go the way of the h a subscribed bin is what you need if you use freeware the forums have generation charts for recievers |
