I have two dishes connected to 4 port DisEQ. I recently bought Viewsat Ultra for the basement, how can i hook that box to the dishes and the main receiver (upstairs) so i can run that box independently?

P.S: i bought a 2way splitter, will it do the job?

"i bought a 2way splitter"

It won't let yo use 2 receivers independent one another

This is How to hook them using dual LNB
Up to 4 satellites on 2 receivers

What about "DP34" switch? Will it do the job instead of me buying dual LNB?

Connect box via loop port does not work
You need to connect exactly as King shown,
Install 2 switch outside and use 1 cable n each receiver.

@plymouth: 2 receivers.
@javier: nope, doesn't work.

Ok i have done exactly as king shown. Now my question: do i have to have the same settings for my 2nd receiver as my first one? I mean same port#, freq.??

My 1st receiver is vs lite and the 2nd one is vs ultra lite, does it matter? Moreover, does the vs ultra lite have different loader than vs lite? or how to send file via usb?

Sorry for asking too many questions!

Only port is different, choose the port on satellite where you connect the LNB.

No, i think the VS Ultra have a USB port, which you can load file.

You can ask all questions you want.

It doesn't matter which port
Dual LNB has 2 independent ports
Each satellite is to have different port on same DISEqC

I would do same port per each satellite on each receiver
That's how DISEqC is sketched above

Here is an example:

Receiver-1 (DISEqC-1)
119>>>port-1
110>>>port-2
91>>>port-3
61.5>>>port-4

Receiver-2 (DISEqC-2)
119>>>port-1
110>>>port-2
91>>>port-3
61.5>>>port-4

In many cases if yor using 118/119 on same LNB them both 118/119 may goto port-1
Also if yo got 119/110 Twin LNB it may goto port-1
The reason why is that if 2 sats driven from one wire then the one wire goes to one-port
