I have Pansat 3500sd. I was told to go to Echostar 10 - 119 to pick up the local Knoxville TN channels. My menu does not have ECHOSTAR 10,it has 8.10. I was then told to go to menu and choose settings. My menu only shows factory settings and I don't want to hit that one. I was told under settings to select city and state and rescan. Can't seem to find any of this. It just seems that Arkansas is so close to Tennessee that I should be able to pick them up.
Can anyone please help me in what I can do.

Thanks

White Hole won't know he's only 13

Yes it's in the menu>>>settings
Yo have to choose local channels>>>select city, state
Yo may have to rescan after selection to enable correct

You are not going to find them because
they are not there. He knows nothing about this hobby, he is as phony as a $3.00 bill

(Quote)sat-man, My menu does not have ECHOSTAR 10,it has 8.10.

how do I say this
look sat-man there are two Birds here @110.o*W
Bird 8 which now is Bird 11 and the other Bird is Bird
10 so go here as I have listed and do a TP scan only on
this TP Freq.12384 H if there is a good
Quality Signal there you will pickup all the Networks as I have listest below.

sat-man
All the local channels from Knoxville Tennessee are listed at EchoStar 10
@ 110.o*W Freq.12384 H

WATE TV 6 (ABC) WATE 9310 12s10 110° E*10 Local - Meridian
WVLT TV 8 (CBS) WVLT 9311 12s10 110° E*10 Local - Knoxville

Sat-man (Jim)
I told yo how to get them
It's a frequency issue that can be corrected
Yo could of asked me questions instead of being sarcastic
There is only me at this forum that could of walked yo thru frequency adjust

Instead
That 13 year old Hawk boy is distracting the way

BTW
Freq adjust is more than a button to hit
It will require removal of TPs and re-entering them manually if city and state is not a choice
A specific TP must be scanned
Good luck

selecting city and sate is for local channel renumbering - it has nothing to do with receiving the signal

satman ,

do a tp scan echo 8.10 - TP 12384
if you don't get the channels you are out of range.

Then yo don't have any experience with Spot beam scans
It's a beam share selected by specific freq

To be honest with yo
There is very little talked about it
And if anyone here at this forum to re-discover it, it will be Plymouth
But will take him few days
I could of helped yo in few minutes

"selecting city and sate is for local channel renumbering - it has nothing to do with receiving the signal "

It is a renumbering no doubt
It's also also capability of yor tuner
In many cases by re-scaning that specific TP after picking the city/state it will readjust by 1K Hz

If it doesn't
- Yo change the freq manually and re-scan
It's not hard

When I say change freq I don't mean LNB freq
I say TP freq 500Hz at a time
Or entering PID manually but I don't think Pansuck has that
So adjusting freq manually in TP is best choice if City/state is not an option

Also check Bird 123W, TP5
I do see little Rock on the list

I dont want start a war on what we rediscover.
Your comment is to be forget.

I dont base my reply on theory but on pratical.

Note i found how get many C-Band with my QPH-031, i get over 200 channels on many sats.

I meant that in a good way
I do recognize yo as capable to scan that specific freq on that TP
As I think there is less than 5 people can actually do it
And yor one of them

Last week i found a new satellite and over 20 channels in Ku band between 35W and 55W
This sat is not list in Lyngsat, i get it with Globecast setting and scan with motor.
I found it on lyngsat and i'm not able to found it again, because i dont note the degree.
I will try to find it.

Let me give everyone a Free experiment on Spot Beam Parameters:
Available on 110W as an illustration example

- Freq 12384 L Polarity or 12384 MHz
(it actually means 12.384 GHz Can be expressed as 12384000 Hz

- One TP may hold up to 50 spot Beams
to service 50 Regions on same TP
This is how satellite owners advertise it
They do high s/r at 20,000 to fit as many channels as possible

- TP 12, 12384 MHz, Left hand Polarity
- 12384, L Hold Spot Beam areas: 7, 10, 13, 16, 20, 27, 28, 30, 38, 45
all on same wave length
But in reality slightly different freq
All limited by yor receiver freq boundaries

- providers program paid service receiver tuners with fixed parameters for each town

But in FTA receivers when yo do basic scan yo get what yo get based on yor global position
and fixed TP presets on that tuner
- If yo move a 100 miles yo can get slightly different result on that TP this is known as frequency pitch

- Another way to get different channels is by changing frequency tune slightly on TP12 or 12384
- The big question is by How much?
(Surrounded by 12370 and 12399) and decided by yor global position
So I would say not less than 12376 no more than 12393)
Any higher or lower will overlap previous TP
- Different results will vary from one global place to another after all this is laser precession

- Another technique will be Add TP to yor tuner manually
As an example will be Add Tp#N starting 12376, L and work yor way up to 12393
Keep in mind all trial and error

- Another way thru, freq PID (was previously public)
But even D#N was playing around with PID to stop PTA, so I would try to find another person who gets Knoxville to give yo actual PID to rescan it otherwise I don't think it is public
- I was hoping that when yo do City, State and rescan TP12 12384 can give yo different result and gain missing freq it will save the day

So bottom line yo would ask me what's the best solution?
- I would say try City, State in User settings first followed by TP scan
- Or Add a manual TP starting 12376, Pol L, S/R 20,000, FEC 5/6
- Scan TP AND HAVE FUN

White Hawk
Don't even think about it
This is an adult discussion with highly technical terminology, Keep out

Sat-man
Yo are allowed to ask questions if yo don't think I'm qualified enough to answer it
But as long as yo don't get sarcastic with me
Good Luck

sounds more like - Baffle 'em with BS.

if your not in the foot print of the spot beam you will not get the channels.

why make things so difficult

that's not what I was writing about
I don't think yo understood my objective

why make things so difficult
It is not that hard
Yo can actually get all 1000 channels with a good receiver tuner on 110 if yo spend couple of hours
And if yo start with TP12 it might just get exciting

Tooter. Help please.
3500sd receiver. Local channels for Atlanta work fine. Can I add Orlando channels (TP4 12268 EchoStar10) and retain Atlanta stations?

If yes, details please. Advance thanks
