(The Odyssey platform was positioned on the Equator by 154° West Longitude.) Orbit: Geostationary at 110° West Longitude. Mission: EchoStar XI is a 5,511-kg, 20-kW direct broadcast satellite designed to expand capacity for DISH Network Corporation (formerly EchoStar), which provides to 14 million satellite TV customers hundreds of video and audio channels and interactive TV applications. Built by Space Systems/Lora, the satellite is based on SS/L's 1300 bus and is designed for an orbital service life of 15 years. With this launch, there are 55 Space Systems/Loral -built geostationary satellites in orbit. |

Gold Member Username: Hawaiian_timeKanaka freak... Post Number: 1914 Registered: Apr-06 | A few days ago I rescanned my satellites and Echo 11 showed up on my ultra. It's great now since I've had a hard time getting a good signal from Echo 8 in the past. Echo 11's signal is much stronger than Echo 8's here in Hawaii and carry much of the same channels. I was about to get me a bigger dish to get Echo 8's signal better now I won't have to. All the lnb settings are the same. |
