3 fta receivers to a wave frontier dish

is it possible to connect 3 fta receivers to a wave frontier dish that has 4 satellites set up on it ..using dn lnbs and dp44 switch ...
it works fine with 2 receivers but when connecting 3 recievers lose some signal strenghth and get partial horizontal/vertical transponders...

does your dp44 switch have external power on port 1

anne lennstrom: This is general information to understand what is happening. African is guiding you correctly.
The LNBs and switches you are using are all designed for DN receivers, which give sufficient power to the LNB/Switches. However FTAs may not have sufficient power to sustain the system.
A separate power to one of the utput ports or an old DN receiver connected and LEFT ON helps.
Sometimes 2 or 3 FTA receivers left ON will also give sufficient power.
Once you have eliminated pwer supply problem, and you are still getting black outs come back and ask again, describing what you have down.

Having said all of above, there have been problems with FTA receivers and the kind of set up you have and you MAY need to change to a different type of switch.
