depends on the type of lnb you have, if you have the newest which is switch build in, than you will not need it
if not and you have only one box, you can just use diseqc.
keep in mind of that, some fta box will not able to power up the dp34 correctly, some say it is ok but probably with multi boxes on at the same time, you might probably need either dn receiver or an extra power inserter to provide more juice.
