If that does not work,, forcing the boot b60 using bl updater 1.4 in boot load mode and simultaneously turning on receiver and "write" should work. |

As posted else-where, LZMA compression is ONLY out because I released it and should NOT have (it was just a test to see if it was possible)--(nobody's perfect)...but the fact is, we don't need it (and probly won't) as new ideas have shown that much more is possible with PUFF--and it's faster then LZMA--as a result of that: we have finally decided that PUFF will be the main method and will keep Lzma just as a backup in case we need it since PUFF gives more advantage and safety for the end users and the compression itself is easier to work with and does the task at hand. So from this point on, anything to do with B-75 and LZMA binfiles will not be from us and we assume no responsability for what others bins may or may not do to anyone's box. We're not saying we won't help people in need, just that if someone uses a bin not done by us, anything goes, time will show those who know what their doing and those that don't. ---------------------------------------------------That is why this is called TESTING------------------------------------------------------ Those who wish to TesT the lzma further will have to do so with-out our help, we are focusing on PUFF as a '1 for all' so everyone runs the same and with as few issues as possible. At the time he posted this there was no 260_PUFF BIN Now you have to upgrade to 260_PUFF BIN by one of the several BIN modifiers such as Fwank7 (jvvh_PUFF name), Nkk (jvvh_nkk_PUFF_260), Lothario (lothario_260_PUFF) There is no PUFF by Chancysand in the 260 version. Do not use LZMA_PUFF or PUFF_LZMA BIN. Stick to PUFF. |

Also it didn't crash my receiver just messed up the remote. But all is good now and tomarrow I will get the file LK posted and try it out.... wish me luck  |

Besides like I said b4... it didn't ruin my receiver just messed up the remote. Thanks to your files posted at another free hosting site I fixed the problem. I read this and am now convinced that I need to get a new hobby LMAO@myself.... MY FLU isn't converted as of yet to 2700 it is merrily a cloned pansat 2500a !!! So ..... I am thinking is this all worth my time to "f^CK" up my flu even more or forget it and stick with my other receivers? What are the benefits to converting my FLU and will PUFF bins be upgraded in the future? I am a tester/hobbyist at this so it really makes no difference to me if this doesn't pan out. I am on a quest now to make this stupid OLD Fortec ultra Star receiver work again. It's in my blood to FIX things LOL One more question ..... If i decide to leave it as is "cloned pansat 2500a" bin 294T. Can I just input the Keys manually and watch TV without the need to convert to Puff etc....? |

There are essentially two routes to take. 1. The UKR recovery route 2. The detailed method I have suggested. As to leaving the receiver with 294T, it will not work now. In the past, you could get the locals during an ECM. The latest ECMs for the past 2 months or so, put darkness over the locals as well. So the only locals you will get under 294T will be your local pub. These receivers are very sturdy and tolerant of a lot of kicking. As long as there is light there hope of converting. |

Silver Member Username: ShadycovePost Number: 165 Registered: Sep-06 | doreen...you do need to upgrade to 2700 first...its very easy,loading 2 files the same way you always load new bins...then upgrade to puff,also loading just 2 files...you can find all you need at fta bins,in the pansat files section....if you try to follow the instructions these guys are giveing you you'll never figure it out...its not complicated at all...i think the major problem folks have is not waiting long enough for their recievers to boot up between manouvers...its simply 2 loads and yer reciever is a 2700 and 2 more and its a puff...if you pm me your email i will gladly send you the files later this evening.....b75,puff,puff.boot 60,jvvh,cs,recovery,ukr,lzma....sheesh,no wonder yer confused...these guys are trying to turn picking your teeth into rocket science.... |

You can convert upwards from b60 to b75 to PUFF to LZMA Boot. You can go back to b60 boot and start all over again with a BOOT of your choice. Wait for new BINs after this ECM is over. some coders are settling for PUFF, but only will tell. |

Diamond Member Username: LklivesPost Number: 15102 Registered: Jan-06 | Jvvh-Team-PUFF Conversion made simple & 261 bins -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If your box is still using original software such as Boot60 and/or 294t type bins and you want to convert your box to PUFF, you MUST fisrt load the b75_m 64k bootfile using UkRoNiCs BOX Updater.420. set to Boot and box ON completely (Straight-through cable) *Check your COM settings* hit the write button..box will reboot (B-75 B-75) continue on by loading in the jvvh_208_1.bin, same loader, but turn box OFF/On from main power, and at fisrt display of lights on the front (or first 'b') *same COM settings* hit the write button..box will again reboot (B-75 will stick on 5 for 30 seconds) then come ON. Proceed to step #2 Converting to PUFF_1.0.1 from any (B-75/Lzma/Old Puff)*with the exception listed above* The most common factor lately, seems to be the loaders that work for some and not for others... thats a matter of trial and error on your part. The ones I have listed have been tested and work for me, so if it works for you...use it. Or READ around they're easy to find. If you keep a channel list...save it before proceeding as this following will WIPE CLEAN any and all settings you had. Open UkRoNiCs BOX Updater .420. select -Ukr_PUFF1.0.1_ConvertBOX.bin- 1mb OFF/On....on fisrt lights hit the write button...box will reboot into 'rolling PUFF'--this indicates 'waiting for PUFF bin'. Using same loader..no need to OFF/ON the box at this point (but it wont kill it if you do), select the Team-PUFF bin of choice up to the latest 261 (unless otherwise posted by us) hit the write button when ready, box will again reboot, will pause of last 'F', and turn ON.
