I'm in need for another USB to Serial Cable and the ones from RadioShack are getting pricey($38.00). Has anyone tried the ones fom EBAY? Would they work with both Straight and Null systems?
$38 is a lot of money for that. As long as you are getting a driver with it and the driver supports the windows you are using, you should be okay with a much cheaper Ebay deal If its gonna work with the straight RS232, it should also work with the Null modem cable.
Would you believe i just got one from ebay yesterday because the one i had from radio shack would not work with vista windows . I got it from ( shopacc ) i think that is right it is not the quality as best buy and radio shack but it only cost 2 dollars and it worked with Vista windows
some work , some don't...it varies by receivers...even the same models , may require different cables and adapters...and any drivers U need u can always download for free from the net....there is NO 1 standard made manufactured serial-USB cable that will work with any specific receiver and windows vista or other OS...its hit or miss..and u just got lucky..
