Just installed a special circular lnb .When scanning this sat with echo 7 on a cw600p should u scan boths sats sepperate with same switch setting or scan echo 7/Anik F3 as one sat , and change the frequency on the menu ?

Heres the lnb specs:
Description
It's a brand new Ku Band Legacy Circular Standard Dual output LNBF with Dual polarization. This LNBF is high gain, low noise, weather-proof and resistance of shock.

It works with all circular polarization ku band satellites. Great choice for Anik-F3 (at 118.8°W) , Echostar 3 (Dishnetwork 61.5°W), Echostar 6/8 (Dishnetwork 110°W), Echostar 7 (Dishnetwork 119°W), Echostar 1/2 (Dishnetwork 148°W), All DirecTV, All Bell ExpressVu (82°W, 91°W) and other Circular Polarity satellites.

It works with all FTA and regular satellite receivers. With the Dual output feature, you can connect this LNB to 2 satellite DVB receivers and let them work independently!

Features:

Standard Dual Output LNBF
Input Frequency Range from 11.70Ghz ~ 12.75Ghz
Output Frequency Range from 950Mhz ~ 2000Mhz
L.O.: 10.75GHz
Low Phase Noise for Analog or Digital reception
Exellent D.R.O. stability
LOW Noise Figure: 0.3dB (newly improved)
Neck size: 40mm, fits most satellite dishes
Best solution for individual and multi-room / multi-satellite systems

* This is the only one LNB works from 11.7GHz instead of 12.2GHz, that can get both 119W and 118W signals at the same time("1 Dish, 2 Satellites"). You can receive and watch more TV programs (International Channels) with this LNB.

ask King the Tester
he had claimed that, he can scan in a circular
polarization Ku band with a universal LNB.
I wonder why they made this dual
polarization LNB?

I would think that, two birds,
echo 7 LNB Local- Freq.=11,250 Circular
Anik F3 LNB Local- Freq. = 10,750 Linear
would be Two separate Scans

switch settings
one for circular
two for linear

118.75 FSS is a Low Power Satellite uses circular polarity
Must have a 30" dish as it is 100Watt Low power
Unlike 20" dish that uses 200Watt High Power

118.75
Tp 1 to 29 freq 11.70GHz to 12.20 GHz Aprox
Depending on Your LNB freq sweep and your Receiver freq preset yo can scan each seperatly or together

LNB must be also Quad Polarity to get both Low/High Power

European LNB is capabple to get 118.75 (As Universal)
But unless it has quad polarity yo won't get both with same LNB

I'm going to give yo another golden tip
Blind scan is best way for this satellite
If yo don't have this option
Yo can always add a TP and enter its symbol rate along with its freq dial off lyngsat then scan the TP

Remember won't work without Low Power Dish 30"

Is 118.75 FSS same as AMC16 118.7 ? I have AMC16 118.7 listed in VS Xtreme but not 118.75 FSS. Are they both the same? If not how can I get it?

Also can I get the international channels on this satellite using a normal circular LNB

Did yo do blind scan or just scan?

Whay don't yo just add one TP manually
And see if yo can get it
Get it from www-lynsat-com

As an example:
If yo add a TP# freq 11789 L s/r 20000 FEC 7/8
Yo'll get some 8 channels

Or add a new Satellite and do blind scan if yo don't have it listed

Hey, goose
You can't Use AMC 16 to scan in Anik F3,
not the same TPs. You will need to add Anik F3
to you Receiver. You can leave AMC 16 there or deleted it.

To add Anik F3
Antenna Setup

A) Scroll to Edit TP/Satellite press (OK)
B) Scroll to bottom you will see the word
NEW press (OK)
C) On this board high lite one character at a time and press (OK) when you finish entering these characters, if it looks like this
Anik F3/Ku press (OK)should be at the bottom next
to del. next you will see this.
Down Frequency
Symbol Rate
Polarity

Pull up.....http://www.ly ngsat.com/anikf3.html
here you will find all the TPs for Anik F3.
If you don't have a HD Receiver don't bother entering the TPs outline in green.

I will post the first TP for you.
Down Frequency....11715
Symbol Rate...20,000
Polarity V

Kavin
If he says he is got AMC16 118.7 that means he has a newer version of VS than the unit u got
Blind scan will update symbol rate and Forward Error Correction FEC
Yo are asking him to do same work on a different sat name

I think he is got a different problem

cool goose
I don't think your LNB can get that sat if yo did everything I told earlier

I tried what both King and Kavin said but I dont get any channels on 118.75. It comes as Failed when I scan on an added TP.

I have 121 and 119. It always picks up channels from either of these two satellites when I do a blind scan

Hey, goose
Look here friend, there is NO AMC-16
Bird located @ 118.75W
AMC-16 has moved back to 85.oW,
here check it out
http://www.lyng sat.com/america.html

FTA Receivers are not only made
for the good old USA,so just because
a bird is listed in your receiver
doesn't mean you can scan it in.

Anik F3 is now located @ 118.75
If you want this Bird just follow
my instructions as I have listed above.

You will also need this NEW Circular
LNB if you want to Scan Anik F3
see the first Thread above.
