I've decided to kick viewsat in the nuts after the bin released lastnight fuked up my receiver and almost everyone else's as far as i know. Any suggestion on the other receivers which have working bins atm?
I have the same problem after loading the new bin it was working for 20 min and then it got stuck with #6, I turned off and on from the back but nothing only a red light on the back
Can't go wrong with SONICVIEW, I seen a few STB's in my time and I gotta say I'm impressed. I first started off with the Pansats, programmed a few Coolsats and Viewsats. When I ran into the Sonicviews, they had me sold. 7 day EPG, the display and functions are real easy. And whenever we get hit it always seems like the SV always gets a fix first. Right now the fix has a little Glitch(first time ever), I'm experiencing a little freezing but still get TV.
Good choice, there's the USB port where you can download the new updates from. If I ever need another receiver I'm either going with that or the 8000HD cause the SV1000's discontinued. I'm just waiting for more HD channels to be available. I also heard the SLINGSHOT also works on the SV8000, how cool is that.
havent looked into the slingshot. i want more HD too, but dont want to pay extra for the module to get dn HD. I guess I could point to bev and get theirs... but id have to put up another dish as I sub to dn. I like that usb port.
i got the vs lite download the bin from fta at first nothing worked all black so i tried to downloaded again and it works fine ive been up since yesterday at 10 30 am and no problems so far i think the people that have dead boxes had clones
Go with pansat and "fuggeda'bout it" VS is crap, always were always will be. MR.Viewsat and TDG can suck my cack!

Dreamboxes are not "plug and play" like other stb's but they will kick the $hit out of all other stb's!
