Question About New Receiver, please help!

Hi guys, i am just wondering about a few things :


I am currently using a pantec receiver (think its pretty damn cheap quality) with dish network. I recently bought a new high quality LCD tv and am wondering do i need a new receiver in order to have HD quality TV? Please advise i want to watch channels with better quality.

yew...U would need a HD receiver...and then ONLY get Bev HD channels unless U refinanced your house and bought all the extras needed to get DN HD...

Okay just to be clear, getting HD from DN is next to impossible without spending an arm and a leg?
