You can't add BEV to the current setup, i.e with one dish only. BEV is at 91W and 82W - too far for the setup you have. With a bit of luck and adjustment you will be able to get 121W in addition to 119W and 110W.

Yes you can add nimiq 1/3 ,use a dummy or spacer lnb ,attach to the echo 8 ,then the lnb for nimiq 1/3.Set your ant settings and scan. You can also do this with dish 500.The space between echo 8 and nimiq 3 is dtv 101w ,they kidda slipped their sat in between the two providers.#!&**#!

thx for teh reply

what is 121W?
my bracket has a slot for 101w
but it always say 110w when i hook it up even if it's the only one

could i swing the dish 20 degrees or so to get 91w?

when i bought the dish it said it could do 119,110 101 and 91 all at the same time

here is what it says

The 18" x 24" Multi-Satellite Elliptical Dish is designed to receive signals from up to 4 adjacent satellites located at 101°, 110°, 119° and 91° west longitude orbital locations, including Local To Local, HDTV & DIRECTV PARA TODOS.

LNB holde is pre-spaced apart for 119, 110, 101 and 91

did i get hosed?

thx for teh reply SatScanner

i currently have 4 lnb's but the 101 and 91 only show up as 110w in ports 3 or 4 no 101 or 91 only 110

have adjusted the skew (took 119 and 91 added them and divided by 2)

wires and lnbs are working fine when switched around so i know they are all good

when i go to antenna setup and bring up nimq 1 on port 3 or 4 it comes in strong but as 110W

viewsat xtreme if that matters

Mr. Stig. First you said your bracket will hold three LNBs. Now you are saying it will hold 4 LNBs.
Bev is at 91W - so you should get it if you put the appropriate LNB in 91W slot.
You will have to adjust the switch for the new LNB. currently you do not have it set properly.

On a 33inch CIRCULAR dish, can you install LNBs
for 121W and 119W. I was told that the SATs have to be atleast 10 degrees apart to be received using one Dish. Any ideas ?

thx for the reply Nalin Nyda

yeah sorry the bracket has slots for 3 and i have a fourth attached to the outside of the one in the 101w slot. but even in the 101w slot the only sat i tune in in antenna setup is whatever is on port 1

"You will have to adjust the switch for the new LNB. currently you do not have it set properly"

should i put the outermost 91 or 101 in port 1?
what is the correet switch setting?

thx

First you said
"i have an eliptical dish with a bracket for 3 lnb's
119,110,101"
Next you said
"LNB holde is pre-spaced apart for 119, 110, 101 and 91"
From the size of the dish I would not expect it to get 4 LNBs at once. You would need at least a 33" dish for 4 LNBs.
The Dish you have can be made to look at 110,101 and 91. You will miss out 119
There are DN dishes and full setups designed to get 119/110 and 121

this paragraph i put in

The 18" x 24" Multi-Satellite Elliptical Dish is designed to receive signals from up to 4 adjacent satellites located at 101°, 110°, 119° and 91° west longitude orbital locations, including Local To Local, HDTV & DIRECTV PARA TODOS.

is off the website from the place i bought the dish

but the bracket only has makings for 119 110 & 101

but i have a friend who just strapped another lnb to the side of an existing one and gets a signal so i figured it was possible

mr stig, it sounds like they didn't send you the LNB holder that was advertised. So you say you attached another one on the outside of the 101 slot. That should work. Use a sat calculator to get the proper skew for your area--use one that will give you setting for elliptical or toroidal skew setting, put in 91 as the east sat and 119 as the west.

If after connecting 3 LNBs to the 3 diseqc ports, and setting them as such in your antenna menus, if you're still only getting port one: you may have a fried switch. Always disconnect coax from receiver--or unplug receiver--begfore disconnecting/connecting wires to the switch or you will fry it. Fried switch will default to port 1 only.

LK,

Thanks for the answer. A follow up question:
My 33" and linear LNB is pointed at the 121W.
So, I need to install a Circular LNB for 119W.
This Circular LNB will have to be very close to
to the existing Linear LNB. Without moving the
Dish, can I find the position of this Circular
LNB by trial and error ?
