I have a Globecast sat system and have for a few years. I just moved and am reinstalling dish. I get 100 percent strength but the quality jumps from x (x=whatever level I amcurrently at from 4 - 40and beyond) to 0 in 10 second intervials. nothing makes this changs except manually changing lnb type from normal to univ and the freq. are almost the same, the normal freq are 10750 and 10750 the univ are 9xxx and 10600. when I change to univ the quality goes to 93% and stays there but I cannot get any channels. I have reset the box to default settings, ohmed the cable for shorts, grounded the dish and cable, and tried all other settings and tp's. I am losing my mind. Is my lnb bad? Does god hate me? Please help.
At 93% you have the correct lnb type. However, I don't know what type of receiver you have, but there hasn't been any support for Globe in the past while. So chances are your bin just can't support it.
