Question on DLP and XBOX 360

So ive not played my PS2 since i got my TV about a year and half ago. My question is does the XBOX 360 or the PS3 not have this lag? A friend told me the PS2 lagged because the games do not have native HD resolution. Id really like a new gaming system that i could actually play on my TV. Thanks in advance for any help.

There are several component to VGA converters on the market. Use the sets computer VGA input. No lag! The 360 shouldn't have a lag if set to 720P. If it does use the same connection method as stated above.
