Amc 3, 87w.(30"dish+linear lnb)= Wow, can you beleive multiple PBS,the thrilling florida ed., fantastic florida lotto,the exciting coin country,and the ever popular cutlery corner. Galaxy 10r, 123w.(30"dish+linear lnb)=aproximatly 35 channells about 1/2 are english.1/3 spanish the rest ?.Several are ok for evening viewing.RTN is all i watch.Great shows like the a team and beverly hilbillies,my three sons lavern and shirley.Entertainment galore.I need to learn spanish.Oh lets not forget the Pentagon Channell,and those lovable unforgetable Nasa Channel and Angel 1, still on echo 7,119w.. Look, no one said you would get to see adult cinema, or PPV on Free To Air, Pay Per View / Free to Air, sort of contradiction in terms. But if you want to see multiple network channels, all networks, some very interesting stations that specialize, and even Joe's Coin Country and Cutlery Corner, it is there and it is free. If you want a PPV, rent the DVD for a couple of dollars and you are in like Flint. And it is legal. There are lists of channels that are available, but I doubt you really want to know. You want to watch "fill in the sporting event of your choice" without having to pay. Or you like Adult fare. Or maybe you are a big SciFi channel enthusiast. You aren't getting those for free. But with the competition from cable and all the specialty channels, network TV is producing some of the best stuff in years. And you can watch it with a clear conscience and not pay Charlie a dime. | ||||

I got to watch my show, which played during the same time as the ladies of Wisteria Lane, just switched stations to one in the central time zone. Very handy | ||||

I just heard from a few people, that the rest of the channels that were working on Nimiq 1 are down now. Today I did the list for the working channels on Echostar 6 / 8. ( 111 working channels ), but I didn't do the TP information, & it's different for everyone. Where I am located, I get the channels from Buffalo, Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Michigan, Indiana, Rochester & some others. There are a few channels listed as IAD2 to 9, which are stations like: Healthy Living, The Men's Channel, I Drive TV, MTV Espanol & Water Channel....haven't watched that one yet! Carry on! |

I purposely put my BUD in a location where the lowest satellite I was interested in was the old F4 ( C-band had C-span on one channel ). If I put a small dish out about 100-ft. to the south of the BUD, then I should be able to get it past the end of my house & about 300-ft. from 60-ft tall treeline. If not, then I'll move 100-ft further east, so the trees will not come into play. ( got lots of coax ). My next posts will have the 60 channels currently available on DN129 ( networks ). I started a thread with the current channels on 110 ( 111-channels, mostly networks ) available in my area ( southern ontario canada ) | ||||

Make sure your Local oscillator is set to the proper frequency ( 10750, or 9750 / 10600 or something like that, according to the specs of the LNB ). |

Your best bet is to get a motorised dish, I am still learning about mine but I pick up with all the echostars about 100+ network feeds+cnn,hnn,colors,byu,gsm etc... | ||||

Silver Member Username: NorthmanPost Number: 105 Registered: Mar-06 | Hey Nalin Nyda, There is a satellite called Amazonas located at 61-degrees west, right by DN.61.5, but Ku-band ( 11.7-12.2 ) that has one of its transponders covering north america, & there are 2 spanish language channels ( FE TV & La Familia TV Network, plus several other channels ( Black Belt TV )), etc. Here are the current working channel lists , according to my 2 Ariza receivers. I will continue keeping an eye out for progams from Brazil.

Can one lock on to them from southern Ontario? The other request was for more info on AMC 16 - size of dish, settings etc. The info I have is that one needs a 32-36" dish and a somewhat sophisticated LNB, but one CAN get these channels. I need your expert input if possible. |

I will take a look at the Brazilsat stuff on my 10-ft. C-band dish & see if any of their channels sneak up to this neck of the woods. |
