Hey guys,
I'm looking at both of these tvs, and am having a hard time making a decision. I can get the xs955 for 2200, versus 2500 for the 55a20. I've looked at the manuals at the differences, and it seems that the PQ is identical, but the xs955 has more options (better sound, memory stick, pip, extra hdmi). Due to the better design (my preference), and better sound (I have a surround sound setup, but I like the better sound for viewing television), I'm leaning towards the xs955. However, is there anything else that I'm overlooking. Are there any newer calibration options Im missing out on (I'm not going to pay for a technician). Thanks.

I swap the 50A10 ( $1920.00 ) to 55A20 ( $2200.00 ) from BB then to the 60xs955 ( $2577.00 brand new + ext. plan ) from CC because of the bigger screen and the video quality is far better than 55A20 ( same 132 watts bulb ). I could have had the 50' but I like a bigger screen so went to 55' but very dissapointed. although its using a 132 watts bulb, the 50' has better color and sharper image than the 55'. try the incredibles, spiderman and gladiator via HDMI and see what I mean. now very satisfied w/ the 60xs955 but all are good at analog signal from the wall. I'm just hoping I would not have any problem w/ in 4 years of Ext. warranty.

514329, when did best buy have the 55a20 for only 2200. It's 3000 right now.

Helpful smurf, there seems to be only 1 complaint against the xs955, most are for the WF models. Do you feel this issue is also on the xs models.
