to everyone who owns a samsung dlp... whats the bulb situation for you guys, how long has it been going? how long after there needs to be a replacement?

Samsung rates there bulbs between 5,000-8,000 hours.They also state if using the dynamic mode that it should drop the rating by about 2,000 hours.Beware like anything this is only a rating bulbs may last alot longer or shorter.

Asking about the 68 is not going to tell you much. The model is too new.

Just be thankful that it's a Phillips lamp. They invented the UHP Mercury. They are currently working on a 20,000 hour version. Here are some links that will help you understand more about Phillips lamps and lamps in general. Enjoy!
