Motorola dct6200 'video-in' disabled? any way to enable it?

I'm wanting to hook up my dvd player to run into the VIDEO IN (rca style yellow conn.) on the back of my dvr unit (motorola dct6200 or 6208)... online documentation has led to this being a disabled feature in some models, must be in mine. Is there anyway to upgrade the software or setting i can turn on that will enable this feature? thanks for any advice
