I recently purchased a Toshiba 65H84C rear projection TV. I also purchased a Motorola CRT 6208 HD PVR from my cable company.

Is there any benefit from using the available DVI connections as opposed to the component conections?

I am told there will be no difference.

I have a Mitsubishi 52" DLP and comcast Motorola HD DVR. I first connected with component because I didn't have a DVI cable. The picture looked good, but I wanted to ensure the best possible picture so I purchased a DVI/HDMI cable and connected it at the same time. I paused an HD show and switched back and forth between the two connections. DVI looked much better than Component....go with the DVI.
Why a difference? Component is an analog signal, DVI is a digital signal. The longer you can keep a signal in a digital format the better the end result.
