Recommendations for a Neophyte Audio/Videophile

Neo
I've been researching what it takes to make a great Home Theater system and I've come to one conclusion. . . money. However, since I'm just starting out, I don't have the budget or experience to go all out. If anyone has a recommendation for systems, let me know.

I'm planning around $1500, with some fudge room. I like the spec's on the Denon 3802 and the Atlantic Technology T70 speaker set. However, I'm not confident in either and I'd rather break it down and buy individual speakers.

Hopefully anyone else who comes along can also use the rec's anyone can give.

Thanks

Neo

Check out www.onecall.com. They've got an incredible deal on an NHT speaker combo. 2 SB1's ($300/pr), 2 SB2's ($400/pr), 1 SC1 ($300), and a killer subwoofer ($500) for $999. Essentially they're throwing in the subwoofer for free as the speaker set should cost $1500. Mate those NHT's with $500 Onkyo or Yamaha and you'll have unbelievably good sound.

I've never heard the T70 speaker set but the NHT's sound amazing. You would not be disappointed.

Check out Axiom. The M3, M22 speakers are awesome for music.
