Center Channel match to fronts

How critical is it to have a center channel from the same manufacturer as the other front speakers? I have B&W Matrix 3's for my front right and left. Must I go with a B&W center and, if not, what else matches up well with the B&W's?

Voice matching or timbre matching the 3 front speakers is very important in your set-up. Since 5.1 mixes are very dynamic nowadays, you want the sounds to blend seamlessly across your front stage. You may experience an imbalance in sounds, or the center drowns out the left and right, or the center dialogues are downright muffled and inaudible. Plus it simplifies the speaker set-ups:-) If you have a B&W, nothing would match it better than another B&W.
cheers

Thanks.
Any recomendation as to model? I'd like to keep cost around US$300. The current model (LCR 60) goes for about that, but I wonder about how it will match up with my old matrix 3's
