I have the htb 544 system. I'm wondering if running my video cables through the reciever will degrate the qulity or is hooking everything straight to the televions the best way to go.

i have the same with a kenwood dvd component output. i did not notice any quality variation from dvd direct to hdtv or thru the receiver to the hdtv
