I have a new HDD/DVD sony unit and conect to 5.1 sony system on HDMI. Surround sound amp says I have to unlock it??? Nothing in book of words to assist. I cannot get TV to display DVI input channel, so do I need an HDMI cable from surround sound into TV? I have followed instructions but failed miserably!
Gordon we need to know the model #s for the DVD and 5.1 system. Every DVD player comes with the Digital out put turned off it need to be turned on or "unlocked". You may also need to do a set up with the 5.1 system to accept the digital signal.
