Hi I have a Kenwood THX VR-7080 receiver I have an optical digital cable coming out of my DVD player and going into my Kenwood receiver. The problem I am having is when I set the DVD player to send the Dolby digital signal to my receiver, by placing the DVD to blitstream the receiver picks up the signal fine however my subwoofer does not work the light on the receiver goes off it does not get a signal for it to come on. My THX, Life, Dolby Digital and all my speakers' lights except the subwoofer come on. Now if I set the DVD player to PCM audio mode my subwoofer comes back to life but I do not get a Dolby digital signal. Why does my sub go off in Dolby Digital? Somebody please help I bought the optical digital cable to get the digital sound but the system sounds lifeless without the sub working.
