Hanging speakers - onkyo 650

Alysenlynn
I purchased one of the refurbished onkyo 650 systems and am expecting delivery tomorrow. What type of speaker mounts work well with these speakers? Are there any stands out there as well? These speakers seem larger then then usual based on the speaker mounts and stands I have seen around. Thanks for the input!!!

I saw some hanging speakers in a Pottery Barn store. They were cylindrical in shape and black. Sound came out of the flat portion (aimed at the floor) of the cylinder. Can anyone tell me where to begin looking for them.

Alysenlynn,

don't bother with stands ...

i really like the vogel speakers mounts .. i drilled right into the back of the speaker .. other people on this board have found keyhole mounts that work .. check out the website derek posted to see what works for you

I used these: http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S-XWj70TrGdTN/ProdView.asp?s=0&c=9&g=15830&I=121BT33B&o=p&a=0&cc=01&avf=N with my HT-S767C surround speakers.

(B-Tech BT-33s in case the link doesn't work)

The screw doesn't exactly fit the keyhole slot, so I removed the keyhole bracket from the speaker, threaded the screw through, and then screwed the speaker's keyhole bracket back on. Mount the BT-33's mounting plate to the wall where the speaker will go. Screw the speaker bracket onto the speaker. Attach the speaker & bracket to the mounting plate. Adjust. Tighten. Repeat as necessary. ;)
