I am new at this. I just bought a Yamaha 5560 receiver. I was testing the sound on Star War 2 movie. I noticed that when I switch to DTS there is no sound coming out. Why is that? It's fine on PLII and 6 channels output. I had an optical cable hooked up from dvd to my receiver. What is the best sound option should I use on that receiver? My hook-up in the back of the receiver are 3 pairs of rca cables from dvd to receiver for 6 ch output and an optical cable from dvd to receiver. I want to know how to optimize my surround sound. what option to use and/or what cable should i use? And why is that DTS option doesn't work?

Star Wars doesn't have a DTS soundtrack, only Dolby Digital. You'll have to try a different movie.
