Receiver in Onkyo HTS-650 gets really hot..question

After watching one DVD my receiver got really hot and I want to know if it is supposed to become hot like that. Also I would like to know if I can run this system for some time, like say watching my TV through it, would the heat damage my system? thanks.

Gene - Please read the other threads and posts on this problem. Make sure you upgrade all your speaker wires on this system to at least 16 gauge.
