New member Username: TablePost Number: 1 Registered: Nov-05 | I'm hoping someone can help me out with my connections. Here's what I have: Yamaha RXV1500 receiver Samsung HD850 dvd player Toshiba CN32G90 Cinema Series tv Toshiba M-663C vcr I'm not sure exactly how to hook up my tv with the receiver. I have the cable going from the wall into the vcr then from the vcr to the tv. I have RWY cables out from the vcr to the receiver and RWY cables from the receiver into the vcr. I have the dvd RWY cables going out from the dvd into the receiver. The back of the tv has the following: 1 S-video input 2 RWY cable inputs 1 RW cable output Am I on the right track? How to I hook up my tv with the receiver? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

Bronze Member Username: DiverhankHuntington Beach, CA Post Number: 100 Registered: Sep-05 | Are you saying that you do not have a cable box or satellite box - just the antenna input? You have two choices. One is to use the VCR for sound. You already have it hooked up, all you have to do is to select the TV input on the VCR, tune to the right channel and VCR sound becomes TV sound. The other choice is to hook the TV output (you should have one set)into one of the RXV-1500 inputs and listen to sound that way. One thing though, when you hook up the RCA RWY cables (from your VCR and TV)...the best you can get is Pro Logic surround or one of the simulated surround such as PLII music/cinema or DTS Nero music/cinema and not true DD5.1 or DTS 5.1 If your VCR and/or TV has a digital output or Optical output, use it instead of the RCA RWY How did you hook up your DVD? |
