How do I record from DVR to DVD with High Def. Comcest Cable DVR/ Panasonic DVD Recroder/ Phillips High Def TV

I don't have the equipment myself, but I don't think you will be able to. The whole idea behind the DVI/HDMI connectors was to give the ability to transfer in digital without being able to record in digital. You are stuck with the analog recording.

Stof is right, you can't record HD, you're stuck with SD.

Thank you for the information. So I can not recod in HD. Can I transfer the video at all? If so, how?

By transfer, I meant viewing. It will take the signal from point A to a display point B. Unless you can find a hack for HDMI, you can't do much else with it.

I have hooked up my Comcast 6412 to my pc and then grabbed the video.... i had to convert the video to mpeg 2 and burned it to a DVD on my pc.
