Hey, I just bought a Pioneer S-HTD330 6 piece speaker system and i intend to hook it up to my computer. I have a fairly new very nice sony computer and was wondering if I wilol just be able to hook it up when it comes in the mail or if i will need some sort of converter. thanks with any help you can give me

Firstly you may want to check your soundcard out to see what kind of charateristics, outlets etc it has.Most caarry standard 3.5 for which you may need y adaptors which will go to the speakers. then you need to use the software which comes with the soundcard to select the configuration if it is not yet set.(2ch 4 or 6). oftentimes the defaults are set to headphone input and output. You may find the program on your quickstart menu or check your system info. Have fun!
