I've got a SBLive 5.1 sound card in my PC so my audio is covered. Now I just need to know how to output my computer's video to my TV. My TV is a 10 year old 27" Sony, my receiver is a Yamaha HTR-5790 6.1, and my computer doesn't have any other video outs other than the one that goes to the monitor that I can see.

You need a new graphics card (video card) that has some form of TV out - These normally come with either S-video out and / or composite RCA out.
If you get S-video out - buy an S-video to S-video lead. Then (assuming your old TV has no S-Video input port), buy a switchable scart plug with input / output switch. These have 3 RCA ports on them (video/left and right audio) and and an S-Video port. Switch the plug to input and connect the S-Video lead in that from your pc and hey presto you have a picture
