I am about to purchase my first home theater setup. I have the opportunity to get a good deal on the Polk 6700 with the 303 sub to replace my current piecemeal system consisting primarily of Bose 301 bookshelves. Can anyone give me information on how the Polks do with CD music? I have tested them in the store on DVD and they sound great for HT. I am just concerned that their size may be inadequate for music (which is what the system will be used for 60% of the time).
I have narrowed by bookshelf speaker selections to the following: 1) Linn Katans, 2) B&W 705, and 3) Energy Veritas 2.2i. I am also considering the REL Stratta III and Sizmik subs. Any suggestions?
