Hello, If i add amplifier and equlizer to onkyo ht650, will it improve sound quality? What does it mean by amplified subwoofer? I am kind of new to this and any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

An amplified subwoofer is one that has its own power amplifier built in and doesn't require amplification from the receiver. Don't bother with an equalizer.
