First off...I would say it's best to educate yourself (by reading old forum posts) a bit on exactly what there is in the market and what you are trying to achieve with your sound system.

Otherwise you are just going to be throwing around Thou$and$ of Dollar$ and still have a crap system.

With a budget of $7000 you should be able to set up front speakers really nicely and still have $6000+ in your pocket if you know what you are doing and get it all installed correctly. Use that other $6000 on other parts of the audio system and/or save it for a rainy day.

Why do you need 6x9s? Are you going with subs as well? Many would say skip rear fill and just get a good set of comps up front and a good sub or 2 for the bass.

There are a lot of brands that deliver excellent SQ and SQL within normal human listening ranges unless you truly want to listen at levels that slowly (or quickly) deafen you which I can never quite fathom the reason for.

DLS, Dynaudio, SEAS, Rainbow, Diamond, Focal, Zapco, Morel, Boston Acoustics, CDT, JL, Infinity, Eclipse, Image Dynamics, Oz Audio, Alpine, Scanspeak, Phass, Hertz, Bravox among others make good components but you really should listen to several types to get a feel for what you like. I doubt you'll have much choice locally among the higher end brands but still look around and listen as much as possible.

As far as SQL goes...if you push good quality components with adequate clean wattage then you should have no problem with listening volume. It will get plenty loud enough.

If you really have to have high SQL volumes look into horns like from Image Dynamics. They get plenty loud from all I've heard...but read some threads first to educate yourself about them.

Here's some great threads that I found educational when learning about components:

That should help.

why are you worrying about rms power, it does not equate into sq. i have some nice orion 6x9 (no grills) for $80 delivered. used about 1 month.

If done properly you can give your front speakers basically any amount of power (within reason) and still be safe.

I have Helix avantgarde comp speakers up front I will be giving them 200rms each, they are rated at 80rms. My sponsor (audissy) will be running 400rms to each side of his front speakers.....each gets a 2 channel brax amp bridged.

just an example
