Does anyone know on which bird and angle can I get Asianet channel. Moreover, who is the provider and how to set it up? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance....

Forgot to mention. I have a Viewsat XT and intend to set Asianet on it. I searched and found that AsiaNet might be on 97w and uses Nagra 1. How do I configure this on Viewsat? Is Asianet FTA?

I am also in the same boat.
I heard that they are switching from Nagra 1 to nagra 2. I also found that asianet can also be on 83E. I live in Toronto. Is it possible to Catch Inset 2E at 83 E over here?
Whats the current situation of asianet on 97W ?
Thanks in Advance

Inset 2E is a C-band need 6 foot dish
Which chan. are you refering to Mana-TV 1,2,3,4,5
Sometimes you can get what you are looking for on a different Satellite.

You won't get 83E or any East satellite for one simple reason they are on the eastern hemisphere. i.e. on the reverse side of the globe. But Many are probably offered on other West Satellite

Thank you for your quick reply.
Any coments on current situation of how to get Asianet channels on 97 W ..?
Do they still use Nagara 1 or Nagra 2 ?
If I point my dish to 97W with standard LNB, Can I get Asianet ?

if your pointing your dish to 97w IA5(telstar 5) your gonna need a circular lnb and possibly a bigger dish 33" and up. If your using a Pansat receiver you won't need Nagra 1 or 2, most of the programs are true free to air channels except globecast.

my mistake, your going to need a linear LNB instead of that circular LNB.
