I keep having to turn the power button off after switching channels as the picture freezes, does anyone know how to correct this. My system is DG6800

It appears that all I had to do was turn my receiver off and back on from the rear...
that is called a reboot/reset and is instructed here 1000x in almost every thread here,...U should always do a reset every time U flash a new bin,change keys or having any problems..

ok rebooted a couple more times and it came back in. I have also been losing signal strength intermitently anyone know what is going on?

sounds like bad cable,connectors,or LNB...also some transponders have weaker signals than others
Hi would you happen to know if you can use an 18" Dtv dish to get T5 or do you need a least a 30" and what type of Lnb. Could you recommend a dish to look for? thanks
where on the key edit do you go to manualy key in the new key codes.Im not sure that im keying them in the coorect place.If someone could help or show me a link that i can go to and learn more about the key edit page(channel 8282)i have a pro 4000
when you go to ftacentral.com and download the autoroll and then load stbtool and then try to down load,it says invaild firmware file. is the somebody out there that can help me.

dude...changing the keys ,doesn't get any easier than this...if U can't do this,then give it up!
Manually Enter Coo*lsat Keys
1) Go to Channel 8282
2) Use the right arrow to scroll to 111 Nagravision (Dish Network)
3) Enter the keys. Use the Info button for letters A-F. Press it once for A, twice for B, etc.
4) Watch TV

Please pardon my ignorance, I'm new to all of this FTA stuff. I've been reading a lot about this "auto roll". I'll be honest, I don't exactly know what it is. I've gone to ftacentral.com to try to figure it out, but I'm not having any success. Is there some one who can take a moment and explain this to me?

Had a picture yesterday morning, then in pm no pic, just scrambled, etc. The key 1: 40 B2 B9 7A C2 C1 53 75 are the keys I have been using for several days. The ones for key 0: 11 64 6B 2E A5 26 ED 7E are the last ones everyone has listed, but using them doesn't give me a picture. I'm travelling in an RV and really would appreciate some new numbers. key 0 has no bearing on encrytion cuz it's not the active key
so ur problem is sumthin else if u double checked the key and r positive it was entered correct then u have other problems

Hey fellows, I've tested Direct tv before for years. I'm in the dishnetword world now, and i've gotten all the right software to do the Autoroll. But when I try to flash my Fortec star lifetime ultra, the Fortecstar STB Updater v3.31 program says " error: the receiver name is not correct" I've tried all the ones in the drop down box. any ideas?

I did, its the same error. I heard that some recievers cannot use a female/female 9 pin cable. I read that some need a 9 pin/usb cable to work. any thougths?

I'm replying to the post about key 1 being the active key. I have the right numbers and still no picture. I've been using the pansat 2500a for two months and each time the numbers change, I put them in and have a picture. You mentioned I must have other problems...where would I even start? I just thought they changed the codes and I needed new ones. Any suggestions? Thanks

Try a reboot/reset..BACK of receiver,power OFF,wait 2 minutes,power ON,turn to channel 300..I would reinstall BOTH keys if the reboot/reset doesn't work,then do another reboot after installing the keys again.

Thanks. We did that this afternoon, except for setting it on channel 300. Lo and behold, the darn thing started working again. Didn't do anything different, but thank goodness it's working. I appreciate your reply.

Can anyone tell me which autoroll works with a "Multistar Maximum 2500". I can't find that make/model posted anywhere. As well, if I load an incorrect autoroll, will it cause my unit to fail working as it is (ie manual entry of key codes). Thank you.

please help i have a staelth 2500 a after inputing keys i lose picture in about 10 minutes i tryed the channel 300 trick but works for only 10 minutes thanks kingman, also are there any nagra 2 fta boxes that will work in the future i think this stealth is history any help would be greatly appreciated
