Just bought a dead RCA HD61LPW175, don't know if it's worth fixing. Is there any way, even an ohmmeter test, to test these bulbs?
TIA, Dave

Usually a burnt out bulb will have some sort of indication through the front panel lights.

If the TV doesn't turn on at all it is likely a power supply problem.

Check the RCA owner's manual on-line to see if the front panel lights indicate a blown bulb.

The front panel lights do the usual flash five times thing, but that really only indicates that the lamp isn't illuminated, doesn't it? Apparently a previous serviceman replaced a "module", but found the set still wouldn't work. Then they abandoned it. I don't know if they tried a new bulb. It would be nice if there were a way to tell for sure if a bulb is pooched.
