HLR 5087W is it the past of the 50"er's

Getting ready to purchase the HLR5087W.Seems to be the best of the Samsung 50"er's( I hope/think)
Does anyone have any first hand experiance with this set?
Seems I can get it online from a reputable co. for about $2400 plus $350 shipping (no tax)and about $300 for a three year bulb replacement.

Also, how important are the cables? Seems like the Monster cables are outasight outamind cost wise?
Any other questions I should be asking?
Thanks in advance

Found this!

It's a good online site to buy from.

Target carries high quality Phillips gold plated component cables for much less.

Personally, I don't like the speakers on the sides or the pedestal design. Placement of receivers, amps, and cabling becomes problematic.
The 77 series is a tabletop version of the same HD2+ chip and fourth gen light eng., but 6 inches larger.

The 1080P's will be out any day now.
They are model numbers ending in 68, 78, and 88.
Sixth gen light engines. Super high contrast.
Might be worth the wait.

I just checked out the HL-R 5078w. This has the XHD3 chip, 50inch non-pedistal. Ohh what a difference. This is a noticably different TV than the HL-R5087W. I was all for the pedistal tv until I saw this. Go and check it out.
