Subwoofer near RPTV ?

trishul nichlani New member Username: Filmguy Mumbai, Maharashtra India Post Number: 2 Registered: Aug-04	Posted on Friday, February 04, 2005 - 22:46 GMT hi is it ok to place a subwoofer near a CRT RPTV (within 2-3 metres)?? due to space constraints that might be the only spot i have but was afraid that since the elecrtonics of the tv are at the base they might get affected by vibrations or something.. appreciate ur inputs

The CRT's electron beam can be pulled by magnetism from a big speaker that is too close, which will cause a noticeable distortion. I have huge floor standing Cerwin Vegas with 15 inch subs supporting my DLP. I haven't noticed any screws falling out of the rear cover yet.
