Onkyo s770htib or Rocket Tykes + Kenwood VRS-7100

I need some advice! I've done a lot of research for a $500.00 home theater system and have narrowed my search to the Onkyo s770 (htib) or a set of Rocket Tyke speakers and a Kenwood VRS-7100. Any opinions?
