I have recently installed this RCA receiver with a Toshiba television, an old GE VCR and a JVC DVD player. The basic setup works fine and the results are good.
The RCA supplied universal remote does not however seem to be able to control the volume of the audio system while in the TV mode. It is possible to switch to another input adjust the volume and switch back (not satisfactory). I have also tried using the SAT input instead of the TV input but that means switching between TV and SAT to move between volume control and changing the TV channel for example.
I have tried RCA support who replied without even answering the question. I was hoping that there might be some trick in the set-up or operation that someone could tell me about.
