What Subwoofer amplifier do I need?

I have a Sub-woofer with the following ratings:
- Impedance 8ohms
- Input Power (IEC): 250W (MAX)

Most of the sub-woofer amplifiers I searched gives me power rating at 2 or 4 ohms. Can anyone please help me in identifying the right amplifier for my sub-woofer? What power I should be looking for?

Thanks

im not an expert on the, subject,,,get it haahaa,,but anyways post this in the speaker section or amp section to make sure, but your sub would give a lesser load to the 2 or 4 ohm amp unless somebody thinks otherwise you shouldnt have a problem, I know a 2ohm diffrence would not matter, if it was the other away around then there would be load issues on the amp, if your speaker can handle 250W max then find an amp that will go say 300W at least

Thanks John S :-)

Sameer,
Just get a Dayton power amp and you should be good to go. The 2 or 4 ohm load in the specs mean those are the type of loads it can handle. It should be able to handle your 8 Ohm subwoofer.
