I'm trying to hook up my friend old Bose Acoustimass 5 sound system. However, I'm having some problems in getting the sound from a 32 inch's Sony LCD flat screen to the home theater receiver. I tried using Optical, high definition plugs, and even standard av audio plugs. I tried the radio on the receiver despite the fact there is no radio signals that can be reach to the player; F.M. seems to give off a the usual static when there is no stations can't be found. However, when I use A.M. I get a weird semi screeching sound from the speakers. I quickly check to see rather or not I hook it right in the back of receiver, and it was fine. Everything was properly in place. I'm somewhat lost at the moment on how sound is not being able to play properly from the T.V.. One thing I do know, that the sound system was working perfectly fine, when he was living in California a few months ago.
