1.To the display quality, is there a lot of difference between s-video inputs and component video inputs for DVD? I found component cable was very expensive. (my TV is 24' flat screen analog TV, not digital ready, Harman Kardon DVD25)
2. Could you recommend some brands of wire using connect speakers to the receiver.

1. For DVD the biggest advantage of component is progressive-scan. The color noise is slightly lower also.
2. Don't go nuts on the cables. For speakers, any 14ga wire will give you 95% of even the most expensive stuff.
