I recently purchased a new Home theatre system (Sony DAVFX900) and I've been able to get sounds from the speakers when I play a CD or DVD. But I can't get the sound from the speakers when I am using just the TV. Is there any way to connect the two? I also have a digital cable box connected to the tv. The TV model is Sony KV27FS120.
Thanks!

I did quick check of sony web site to confirm. For the tv, you need to connect the tv's analogue audio outputs into one of the two analogue inputs on the home theatre. The connections uses the red and white rca plugs. The digital cable box could also feed its sound via the tv, but will sound a lot better if it is connected directly to one of the digital inputs on the home theatre. The digital connections are either coaxial or optical (also called toslink).

Sony manuals are usually pretty good. You should find a clear diagram in there too.
