I have a nice home theater system (yamaha receiver) but cannot get enough treble out of the system I have all jbl speakers-- 2 tower spks, 3-way center channel spkr, three way wall mount surround spks, 1 250watt sub & 1 150watt sub. --would adding a pair of smaller speakers on top of the main spks increase the high tones??

Dude,how old are your speakers?maybe the tweeters have failed?Or have they been driven to overloading and burned up?Otherwise i would say you just have too much bass and it overwhelms the system or you may have hearing loss and not know it.I have a similar system and I can get it plenty loud but you can ruin your speakers and your hearing by playing it load and into distortion.Maybe you have a low powered reciever? driving it into distortion can fry the tweets.Just a few Ideas.
