Ive just moved into a new house where the previous owner has left us a nice supries... a Sony KV36 FS70 TV...

He has also wired into the walls his suround sound speaker cable all running to a junction box in the corner of the room.

Initially I just want to connect my existing speakers to the TVs surround sound outputs - standard fronts rears and a centre.

Anyway, my problem is that teh actual speaker socket to plug the cable into is a single almost rectangular whole for each cable.

How do I put normal 2 core cable into it?

This is really confusing me and I noticed this message board was full of clued up people so any help is really appreciated.

The surround sound output is not for speakers it's for connecting to a receiver/amplifier. The TV will not amplify the sound enough to go directly to external speakers.
